Football
Old Eds was founded in 1926 to enable former pupils of Edmonton County Grammar School to continue to play football together after leaving school. In those days there were few amateur clubs around and although 80 years have passed since those far-off days the club is still going strong and still sending out six league sides each week, plus an occasional Veterans (over 35s) side.
The club offers much more than the average one-team club. It has its own clubhouse which is a great venue for after-match socialising and six teams offer everyone the chance of a game and the opportunity to move up through the elevens, meeting new team mates along the way. The club also hosts discos and other events and as a playing member you are welcome to call in for a drink whenever the club is open. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and a good laugh.
To read more about our History please read a brief history in 'The Club' section, written by our former president Peter Simpson.
If you are interested in joining the club, please email us.
Pool & Darts
We currently have 5 Pool teams and 2 Dart teams that use the clubhouse as their home Venue through the week. All of these teams are constantly battling for trophies in their respective leagues. They are all a huge part of the club and are a very pleasant bunch of people who enjoy a game along with a beer and some banter which all makes a great night out. All teams are always looking for new players and teams alike. If you are interested please contact the relevant contact below.

Youth Football
Edmonton Youth was formed in March 2008 and last season completed with an under 10 team in the Rural Friendly League and an under 12 team in the Waltham Forest League.
This season we have three teams all playing in the Cheshunt League, under 13, under 14 and under 16.
It is the clubs mission to cover all age groups up to under 18 (this age group has just been formed in the Cheshunt League) and the main focus is on youth development. The Club is affiliated to Middlesex and complies with all their child protection and equal opportunities polices.
Any player wishing to join should contact Dermot on 0208 807 4922 days or days and evenings 07923 494535. Training is on Thursdays at Jubilee Park.
Other Activites
As well as our football, pool and darts teams we get up to all sorts of other things as a group.
The Old Eds social activities are a strong draw to becoming a member.
In the past we have had several European tours where football has been played. We have several trips including Horse Racing, Paintball and Go-Karting.
In our clubhouse we ahve several social functions each year, including race nights, Karaoke, Discos... In fact you name it, we do it!
We also like a good old drink on a Saturday after the football matches, to discuss all our near misses - goals and Refs!
Cardinal Puff
An Old Eds tradition is the Cardinal Puff. A great drinking game that many have tried and only a few have passed. Although these days the Cardinal is quite rare, the game still rears it's head now and again.
There are several different versions of the Cardinal Puff, but they are all based on the same game. Our version takes some doing, and is similar to the famous version seen in Dads' Army.
Have you got what it takes to become a Cardinal?
